An orange, structure rises to nearly six feet on an inclined plane. From it hangs a series of stainless steel cables, like a curtain. Subtly, on sections of cables painted blue and across the volume formed by them, the image of a hare appears. Barely perceptible at first, the image reveals itself through careful observation of the suspended cables. The hare is visible yet discreet, much like one that is often encountered in the forest. The farther away one stands, the more the delicate, watermark-like visual effect dominates. Up close, the cables become more prominent and the image begins to fade. In this way, the hare in this piece becomes something like a ghost of the forest, whose presence is only sensed. It reveals itself through many signs—scratches, tracks in the snow… And one only ever glimpses it by chance: a fleeting but always joyful encounter.
