Rétrofictions (v. 1) is an experimental and collaborative artist publication that juxtaposes six photographic artworks by John Latour alongside works of fiction by Jennifer Allen, Marina Endicott, Cynthia Imogen Hammond, Lea Nakonechny, Eduardo Ralickas, and Jean-Éric Riopel. The erasure of history creates a space for new stories to be imagined.

Re fictions (v. 2) represents a partial erasure (and re-telling) of the 2012 collaborative publication, Rétrofictions – where six authors were invited to write short stories based on modified found photographs from his art practice.

Fictions (v. 3) is the third and final work in a series of artist’s books beginning with Rétrofictions (2012) and followed by Re Fictions (2018). All of the text from the original book has been erased except for the title. Consisting entirely of modified found images, Fictions is a photobookwork.
