In the fall of 2012, Ed Pien travelled to Cape Dorset to work in the Kinngait Studios. This was the inaugural residency in the new Visiting Artists Programme sponsored by TD Bank Group. Through this programme, artists from the south travel north for residency in the Kinngait Studios in Cape Dorset and artists from Cape Dorset travel to the south for specialized residencies. This print is the result of a collaboration between Ed Pien and the Studio in which his original ink drawing image was translated into a stonecut print by master printer Qavavau Manumie.
