The exhibition “…scapes” presents recent and earlier works by Ludovic Boney, Karilee Fuglem, Dil Hildebrand, James Lee Chiahan, Roberto Pellegrinuzzi and Ed Pien.
In dialogue with After Arcadia – Ripley Whiteside’s exhibition presented in parallel in gallery 1, the title “…scapes” plays on the many variations that can emerge from its pairing with other words, just as the works that it features. These works are a call for contemplation, inviting viewers to wander in landscapes that, as the exhibition’s title suggests, carry a multiplicity of interpretations. In English, the suffix “scape” is attached to a noun to form a new word: landscape, dreamscape, urbanscape… There are as many possibilities as there are ways of seeing, each shaped by individual sensibility.
