"Several years ago, I began researching the traditional designs of my people. They served as documentation of ancestral knowledge. On ancient caribou skin coats made for hunting ceremonies and the relationship with the animal, I discovered the various hand drawings of our ancestors, the Innuat, Naskapi and Cree, used to ensure abundance.

On the left are the ancient motifs, essentially those I can understand today, and on the right are the new motifs inspired by the ancients, in which I wanted to transcribe my contemporary landmarks, about my culture versus today's world. " – N.K.F
