Autre(s) nom(s) : Tresses à crochets" - Stephane Alexis

"The art of crochet (French for “small hook”) developed in Europe in the 16th century. It made its way through Spain, however, it has its origins in the Middle East. It was used to make cloth and hunting tools. However, as time progressed, the African and Caribbean communities began to use this method to style their hair. Crocheting is done by braiding cornrows to the scalp of the head as a base, then having extensions woven through them.
Other name(s): Latch Hook Braids" - Stephane Alexis
