"C'est la combinaison de deux styles : le mohawk et l'afro. Ce style a été et est utilisé en Afrique pour distinguer les guerriers de la tribu Mandinka. Il a été popularisé dans la culture occidentale par M. T, de l'Agence tous risques, ainsi que par Usher, qui arborait ce style sur son album "Looking for Myself" de 2011. Il existe de nombreuses variantes de cette coiffure, certaines impliquant de tresser et de raser les côtés.
