- Karilee Fuglem
________

Holding you as steady as I can is a device that reflects rays of light, wherever it is installed.
This small sized installation will bring the sun into any room. "My work often takes the form of environmental projects which I think of as drawings made with space, air and light. In this practice, developed over some 25 years, I use subtly visible materials, such as fine nylon thread and transparent polyester film, materials which can disappear into a space, and are receptive to changes in light and air, becoming briefly visible before disappearing into shadow. They describe what I understand to be a continual fullness in the non-visible world in which I am present, and testify to the wonder that can be glimpsed anywhere, the way something moves, drifting in a breath of air, or how some random bit of anything can light up, come alive." - Karilee Fuglem
