À l'ocassion de son événement bénéfice annuel, la galerie Optica a invité trente artistes du Canada et de par le monde à réaliser une série de clichés photographiques à l'aide d'appareils-photos panoramiques jetables. Ces photographies seront dévoilées lors de la soirée animée par Pierre Beaudoin qui tiendra le 28 octobre au O PATRO VYS.
Trente billets sont disponible dès maintenant pour la somme de 250 $ l'unité. Chaque billet donne droit au contenu d'un appareil photo. L'ordre dans lequel les détenteurs de billets pourront choisir leur appareil-photo sera déterminé par un tirage au sort. Le nombre d'images varie selon les appareils-photos qui peuvent au total en contenir quinze.

Better Living is an optimistic exhibition in which we ask artists, designers and architects to share their visions of contemporary urban style and their insights of new models for how we live. The responses will take shape in model suites, an exhibition created in the style of furniture store showrooms or Wheel of Fortune showcases. Johannes Zits is the undisputed "poster boy" of collage-based artwork. His work examines the perfected worlds of home decor magazines and gay male porn. With folksy cut-and-paste collage figures of nude male body forms placed in idealized domestic surroundings, Zits explores the stilted intimacy of personal spaces along with symbolic form of queer male sexuality. But what good is intimate space exploration if the work is inside galleries? So off Johannes went...his latest project was a gift to the city of Toronto. With his intrepid crew of plasterers, Zits found sponsors who helped make glossy posters of four of his works - and then he painted the town with them!
